Looking for A Superhero

Why are we so fascinated by Superheroes?   Is it our own feeling of powerlessness? A desire for a rescuer?  Or the small comfort that comes from seeing that even the very powerful have lives filled with complexity and struggle just like us mere mortals.   The Bible is one of the oldest books in the world and in Genesis, its Book of Beginnings, it speaks of the world’s first superheroes — men of storied origins whose power was great, but not great enough to save them from their nemesis – themselves.

This week we continue our conversations from the Book of Beginnings by discussing the first part of Genesis 6, the sons of God and the daughters of man.  Join us was we consider the how man’s quest to become his own god only leads him further and further from his goal.

We meet this Lord’s Day, March 5, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in The Commons at St. Andrews Anglican Church at 8300 Kanis Rd in Little Rock.  Click here for directions.

Come with a friend you and join us for fellowship and conversation around the table. We look forward to seeing you there this coming Lord’s Day at 5:00pm.
