River City Theology Conference 2026: Our Great Savior: God-Man, Sacrifice, King, and Priest

We are excited to announce that River City Reformed will hold its third annual theology conference on February 20-22, 2026. We are grateful to welcome back Rev. Dr. Sean Morris as our guest preacher.

Dr. Morris serves as the Senior Pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Sean holds a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, a Master of Theology degree in Scottish Church History and Theology from the University of Glasgow, and a Ph.D in Historical Theology from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also helped found the Blue Ridge Institute for Theological Education (BRITE), a presbytery-based theological training institution serving students throughout Appalachia and even around the world, at which he served as an instructor and academic dean. Sean and his wife Sarah have five children. 

The topic of our conference this year is Our Great Savior: God-Man, Sacrifice, King, and Priest. The schedule for the conference is as follows:

Friday, February 20: Lesson One: “God-Man” (6 PM)

Saturday, February 21: Lesson Two: “Sacrifice” (10 AM with fellowship lunch to follow)

Sunday, February 22: Morning Worship Service Sermon: “King”

Sunday, February 22: Evening Worship Service Sermon: “Priest”

The conference is free and will be held at 9820 W Marhkam St in Little Rock (The sanctuary of Faith United Methodist Church). We hope you will join us, and even if River City is not your church home, you are welcome to attend as much of the conference as you are able. Contact us if you’d like more information. This Lord’s Day morning at River City, we will be studying John 1:19-34 with a sermon titled, “Behold, the Lamb of God, Who Takes Away the Sin of the World!” We will also take the Lord’s Supper during our morning service. During evening worship, Rev. Bill Holiman will be preaching on Isaiah 61:10-62:4 with a sermon titled, “For Zion’s Sake, I will not Keep Silent.”

Christmas Evening Service this Week

This Lord’s Day morning at River City Reformed, we will be studying John 1:6-13 with a sermon titled, “The True Light.” We will have our special Christmas evening service this Lord’s Day evening, at which we will sing Christmas carols, pray, read Scripture, and hear a brief sermon on John 1:14-18 entitled, “The Word Became Flesh and Dwelt Among Us.” After evening worship, we will have a dessert fellowship. If you’re able to bring a dessert to share, that would be great, but in any case, please join us.
