In Romans 8, Paul gives a practical theology for the Christian life. We find in Romans 8 truths we need for the whole Christian life from start to finish. Paul began on the note of “No condemnation.” Remember, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1) We were reminded of justification before God, but we have also been taught about sanctification, adoption, suffering as Christians and the hope of eternity guaranteed to every believer. We also learned about the benefits of salvation that belong to the people of God in Christ. In verses 31-39, Paul concludes his argument by showing us that there is no one, no trial and no created thing that can separate the believer from Jesus Christ. Once one is in union with Christ, that union is unbreakable.
Join us for worship this Lord’s Day at River City Reformed as we consider these truths together. We meet at 9 AM at 9820 W Markham St in Little Rock (the sanctuary of Faith United Methodist Church).
