This week at River City Reformed, we are studying Acts 4:1-22. In this passage, we see something of the persecution and opposition that Peter and John’s faithfulness to their Savior and to the Gospel brings. Nonetheless, Peter is clear that Christ is indeed the only way of salvation, as he tells the priests, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
This week we will see that opposition to the Gospel does not keep the Word from going forth. The Word is still powerful, and the Spirit of God is still at work to draw God’s elect people to Him.
