This week at River City Reformed, we study Acts 4:23-31 to consider the church’s response to the opposition and persecution that came as a result of Peter and John’s faithfulness. We see that the church immediately turns to prayer and that the Lord is faithful to answer their prayer. The content of their prayer may surprise us, as they do not pray for deliverance from trial; rather, they pray that the Lord will give His servants boldness to continue to proclaim the truth.
